Inventory Specialist

Purpose:

Assist Supply Chain Manager with day-to-day department operations/procedures.  ERP System back-up to the Supply Chain Manager.

Principal Accountabilities: 

  • Maintain inventory and inventory area
    • To include freezer stock
    • Monitor Reorder Points
    • Ensure accurate inventory counts
      • A-B-C cycle count
    • Optimize organization
      • Encouraging FIFO
    • Assist with inventory issuance
  • Receive Inventory
    • Verifying quantity and quality
      • Recording expiration dates
      • Maintain Conformance documentation
      • Report discrepancies to Supply Chain Manager
    • Assist with Shipments
      • Communicate shipment status/ tracking numbers
    • Create Bill of Materials in ERP System
    • Assist with ERP System Work Order creation
    • Communicate Purchase Requests to Supply Chain Manager
    • Supply runs as required
    • Other responsibilities/ duties as assigned

Education & Experience Required:

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Proficient with computers
  • Inventory audit and control experience preferred
  • Interpersonal skills – ability to work with different departments in the company
  • Able to operate forklift
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Able to meet deadlines
  • Available weekends and holidays as scheduled by management

Job Type:  Non-exempt, Full-time

Salary:  Based upon experience
