Emergency Text Alerts (SMS)

Last updated: 10/27/2026

Fibreworks Composites (“Fibreworks”, “we”, “us”) sends emergency safety alerts and drills by text message (SMS) to employees who have chosen to receive them. This section explains what information that program collects, how we use it, who can see it, and your choices. It applies in addition to the rest of this Privacy Policy.

Information we collect

  • Your name and the mobile phone number you give us when you sign up [, and your department and supervisor].
  • Your consent to receive text messages, and when and how you gave it.
  • Your replies to alerts (for example, 1 to confirm you are safe, 2 if you need help, or 3 if you are not on site), the time you replied, and what your message said.
  • A record of the alerts we send you and whether they were delivered.
  • If you text our alert number without having signed up, the number you texted from, your message, and the time.

How we use it

We use this information only to send emergency alerts and drills, to confirm that employees are safe and find anyone who needs help, to contact you directly during an emergency, to keep records of emergencies and drills, and to run and secure the alert system. Messages are sent only for emergencies and drills. A drill always starts with “THIS IS A DRILL.”

Who can see it

Only authorized Fibreworks safety leaders and system administrators can see who has replied, who needs help, and the numbers needed to reach people. [We may share your name, location and contact details with emergency responders where that is needed to protect someone’s safety.]

We do not share it for marketing

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties.

Service providers

We use service providers to run this program. Twilio, Inc. sends and receives text messages and sees phone numbers and message content for that purpose. Microsoft stores the program’s records in its cloud services. They may use this information only to provide their services to us. Mobile carriers also carry messages.

Message frequency and cost

Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply.

Opting out and your choices

You can stop receiving texts at any time by replying “STOP” to any message. After you opt out, you will no longer receive emergency texts, so please tell your supervisor so we can reach you another way during an emergency. [To sign up again, reply START or complete the sign-up form again.] You can ask to see, correct or delete your information by contacting [privacy contact]. [Opting out does not affect your employment.]

How long we keep it

We keep records of alerts, replies, emergencies and drills for [period], then delete or anonymize them. Texts from numbers that have not signed up are kept for up to [30 days].

Security

We limit access to this information to authorized people.

If you have questions about this section, contact your supervisor.

Terms and Conditions

By providing your mobile phone number and agreeing to receive SMS communications from Fibreworks Composites, including verbally, in person, by phone, or through another approved opt-in method, you consent to receive text messages from Fibreworks Composites related to your service relationship with us. These messages will only include emergency or drill related information.

Message frequency may vary. Message and data rates may apply. To stop receiving text messages, reply STOP at any time. For help, reply HELP. Your consent to receive SMS messages is not required as a condition of purchase.
